I started flying helicopters when I was 12years old and had by first flight when I was 6 weeks old. My dad is a helicopter pilot and started training me as soon as I could reach the controls.
I went to school and obtained all 5 of my helicopter licenses and ratings within a year.
From there I flight instructed for about a year building hours.
After that I was offered to fly a 407 for a private family.. I did that for about 6 years and flew all over the country for them. After that I flew ENG and utility for a couple years before becoming a medevac pilot.
I’ve been flying medevac for a little over a year for the University of North Carolina AirCare program. We operate 4 bases including 2 H135s and 2 Bell 429s 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year.
Thank you dear Jenn for sharing your Heli story with Helichix !
